Laps for Charity - May

Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, 9am–3pm
Dover Motor Speedway

  • Each event allows participants to experience the one mile, high-banked concrete oval that has challenged NASCAR's best since 1969.
  • 100% of proceeds from this family-friendly event will benefit Speedway Children’s Charities, whose mission is to help children in need.
    Multiple options are available for Laps for Charity:
  • Regular Session: $75 per vehicle, participants will take 5 group laps around the track (in your own car) behind a Dover pace vehicle.
  • VIP Session: $125 per vehicle, participants will take 8 private laps around the track (in your own car, the only other car on the track) behind a Dover track vehicle.
  • Pace Car Passenger: $50 per person, sit shotgun in Dover's Ford Mustang Mach-1 pace car as it turns five laps around the Monster Mile.
  • Photo at the Monument: $25 per vehicle, take a photo to commemorate the day with your vehicle in front of the famous 46-foot tall Monster Monument at Victory Plaza. Photos will be available to download on the SCC-Dover website following the event.
  • Track Treasures Trailer: Momentos, Nascar collectibles, one-of-a-kind autographed items, clothing and advertising banners will be available for purchase near the Monster Monument.
  • Appropriate rollover protection is encouraged for convertibles, cabriolets, and open-top vehicles. This includes T-tops, Targa tops, fixed roll bars, fixed roll cages, and roll bars that automatically deploy in the event of a collision or rollover. Drivers and passengers in vehicles with their tops down should consider wearing eye protection, such as glasses or sunglasses.
  • Not permitted: Motorcycles, trikes, slingshots, or other all-terrain vehicles (ATVs).
  • Car clubs and groups interested in participating may contact Colin Ward at cward@dovermotorspeedway.com for schedule availability. Passenger vehicles only (convertibles allowed).
    Event Rules:
  • Drivers must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
  • All participants must sign an event waiver in order to participate.
  • All passengers must wear their seatbelt.
  • No alcohol is allowed.
  • Vehicles must be street legal.
  • Drivers must follow the speed set by the pace car.
  • Cars must remain single file… ABSOLUTELY NO PASSING!

    • One of the oldest judged antique and classic automobile shows in the nation, hosting a splendid display of rare cars!
    • Saturday is reserved for American historic & classic cars & trucks, while Sunday is reserved for imports.
    • If entering your Z car, choose the first category below which accurately describes your vehicle:
      1. Stock Datsun/Nissan Z: 240Z, 260Z, 280Z, 280ZX & 300ZX in original, preserved, restored or unmodified condition (Class Z).
      2. Tuner: 240Z, 260Z, 280Z, 280ZX 300ZX & 510 extensively modified (Class TU).
    • It is recommended to upload a 3/4 front view image of your car (even if not required). It can help you be properly classed and ensure your vehicles' presentation is up to their standards of authenticity, originality, cleanliness, & condition.

    • Photo at the Monument: $25 per vehicle, take a photo to commemorate the day with your vehicle in front of the famous 46-foot tall Monster Monument at Victory Plaza. Photos will be available to download on the SCC-Dover website following the event.
    • Track Treasures Trailer: Momentos, Nascar collectibles, one-of-a-kind autographed items, clothing and advertising banners will be available for purchase near the Monster Monument.
    • Appropriate rollover protection is encouraged for convertibles, cabriolets, and open-top vehicles. This includes T-tops, Targa tops, fixed roll bars, fixed roll cages, and roll bars that automatically deploy in the event of a collision or rollover. Drivers and passengers in vehicles with their tops down should consider wearing eye protection, such as glasses or sunglasses.
    • Not permitted: Motorcycles, trikes, slingshots, or other all-terrain vehicles (ATVs).
    • Car clubs and groups interested in participating may contact Colin Ward at cward@dovermotorspeedway.com for schedule availability. Passenger vehicles only (convertibles allowed).
      Event Rules:
    • Drivers must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
    • All participants must sign an event waiver in order to participate.
    • All passengers must wear their seatbelt.
    • No alcohol is allowed.
    • Vehicles must be street legal.
    • Drivers must follow the speed set by the pace car.
    • Cars must remain single file… ABSOLUTELY NO PASSING!
